We test couches in real homes, not showrooms. You get honest verdicts, the brands worth knowing, and the founders behind them.
A couch is the piece you'll live on for the next ten years. We're picky about who makes the list, so every brand on Living Cozy is:
There's a person behind it who can tell you what they set out to fix. Not "we saw a gap in the market."
Kiln-dried hardwood frames, real spring systems, foam that still holds its shape a year in. None of it shows up in a product photo.
"Eco" on a landing page means nothing. We look for the specifics: certified fabrics, responsibly sourced wood, a repair or take-back program.

We test couches, so you know which brands to trust
We unbox the sofas, put them together, and live on them for months. Our contributors test couches, cookware and bedding in our studio and in their own homes, so what you get is what actually happened, not what the spec sheet promised.

Get to know the people behind the brands you share your home with
We sit down with the people who started these companies. What they set out to build tells you a lot about what you're buying.

Sofa roundups and brand reviews, plus the questions that turn up once the couch arrives: what size rug, what to hang above it, what colour to paint the wall behind it.

About Living Cozy
We don't sell couches. We just spend a lot of time sitting on them.
We're an editorial site, not a store. Our contributors live with the furniture in their own homes and write up what actually happened. We talk to the founders too, because who built a thing tells you a lot about whether it lasts.
Expert writers and contributors
On Living Cozy, you'll find advice and insights from furniture and interior design experts to help make your house a home.
