Getting hands-on with the Outer Wicker Loveseat Set

The Outer Brown Wicker Loveseat set immediately caught my eye thanks to its classic wicker frame and lovely neutral color options. Currently, the set comes in two colors—Pacific Fog Gray and Palisades Cream.

The gray is soft with a slightly cool tone, while the cream is a lighter, warmer hue. It was tough to choose one since both colors would’ve worked well for our space, but I opted for Pacific Fog Gray simply because we have three dogs that would send the cream to the wash more often than I’d like. But since the cushion covers are machine washable, cleaning them is a breeze either way.

Once I chose the color and placed the order, I immediately received a confirmation email. A few days later, I received another email from Outer’s shipping partner to schedule a day and time for the furniture set delivery. I easily scheduled the date online, which ended up being about two weeks after I ordered it. All told, I was really impressed with how quick and efficient the order and delivery process was.

Getting to Know The Wicker Loveseat Set

One of the things I love most about the Outer furniture set is its modular design. The modularity allows for multiple configurations, so I can arrange and rearrange depending on the occasion or my mood. It also makes it easy to expand the set should we ever want to add on additional seating or expand the loveseat to a three-seated couch.

The furniture set’s upholstery is made from 100% solution-dyed Olefin with a lightfast rating of 2,000 hours. It also exceeds 50,000 double rubs and is mold-, mildew-, and stain-resistant, so it can stand up to the weather (and my dogs) like a pro. Plus, each piece in the set comes with a built-in, waterproof OuterShell furniture cover, which you can easily pull over the cushions to further protect them in the case of very bad weather.

In addition to being weather-resistant, the cushions are ultra-comfortable thanks to a combination of memory foam and high-resiliency foam, which also happens to be recyclable, making it an eco-friendly choice — plus, a single all-weather wicker chair diverts at least 99 plastic bottles from landfills. And they sit on a gorgeous, all-weather wicker frame supported by stainless steel legs that won’t rust.

The set also comes with a best-in-class warranty, so you can rest assured that your set is built to last. The frame and legs feature a 10-year limited warranty, while the wicker and cushions come with five-year warranties.

Living with The Wicker Loveseat Set

The set arrived mostly assembled, but we needed to screw in each of the legs. This was an easy task, especially thanks to the ratchet screwdriver that was included in each box—a detail that my partner pointed out and was super happy about. We were able to get it together in about 30 minutes. But if it wasn’t 100 degrees like it was in Texas the day we assembled it, we could likely do it faster.

Once we set it up and configured it on our pergola, we were ready to try it out! The frame felt very sturdy when we sat down. No wiggles or wobbles to be found, and the wicker frame is further supported by an aluminum powder-coated base, so it’s extra durable.

But beyond feeling sturdy, the set is also extremely comfortable! The loveseat and lounge chairs all felt the same, and that’s a good thing because they’re plush and comfy while still being supportive. But my partner and I aren’t the only ones who love relaxing on the pieces—our three dogs immediately showed their approval by cozying right up the cushions, which they’ve done every day since we’ve gotten it.

Speaking of dogs, our three furbabies are typically top of mind whenever we purchase a piece of furniture because they have a talent for tracking dirt around and making any new furniture piece look not-so-new anymore. Fortunately, this set is all kinds of dog-friendly. Not only is the upholstery stain-resistant, but if the doggos do happen to leave dirt and grime on it, all we have to do is throw the cushion covers in the washing machine. And while we don’t have any kids, I imagine this is a big bonus for households with little ones as well.

Practicality aside, this set is nothing short of gorgeous. I’m talking magazine-quality gorgeous. In fact, once we set it up, I sent a photo of it to my mom and she replied, “It looks like it should be in a magazine!” The set looked so good that I immediately went out to buy some flowers to hang above it to properly celebrate its beauty.

Parting Thoughts

In all honesty, I’m completely in love with this patio furniture set. The moment we set it up, it made our backyard look so much nicer and “like a magazine,” according to my mom. And it’s as comfortable as it is gorgeous. My partner and I find ourselves enjoying more meals and conversations outside than ever before because the set is so inviting and easy to sit in for hours.
