Marah Eakin is a Los Angeles-based freelance writer and journalist specializing in entertainment, television, and pop culture. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Magazine Journalism from Ohio University and a Master's degree in Cultural Studies in Education, also from Ohio University. Her work has appeared in numerous prominent publications including Wired, Vulture, The Strategist, Byrdie, The Ringer, Dwell, and The Los Angeles Times.
Eakin spent over a decade as a senior editor and staffer at The A.V. Club, where she served as Music Editor and contributed extensively to entertainment coverage.
In addition to her freelance work, Eakin serves as an instructor at UCLA Extension, where she teaches courses related to entertainment journalism and writing.
