Kyle Hoff

Kyle Hoff is the CEO and co-founder of Floyd, a direct-to-consumer furniture brand based in Detroit, Michigan. An architect by training, Kyle holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Architecture from Miami University with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

His inspiration for Floyd came from a frustrating experience furnishing his Chicago apartment in 2013. Rather than buying disposable furniture, he began designing minimalist metal legs that could convert old doors or plywood into functional pieces. He and Alex O'Dell launched the first product on Kickstarter, hoping to raise $18,000 but ultimately raising $256,000. Floyd has since grown into a full furniture brand known for sustainable, modular design.
