Distracted by his phone, Jordan Nathan accidentally left a Teflon-coated frying pan on a stove top for 45 minutes. As a result he felt nauseous and was eventually told he likely had Teflon poisoning. This incident led Nathan down a rabbit hole of researching why cookware brands use Teflon and seeking a healthier way to cook.

The result of Nathan's research is Caraway — a brand selling quality cookware, without chemicals. Caraway's cookware uses a mineral-based coating that won't leach toxic materials into your ingredients and is produced using ethical manufacturing processes.
